I think this is a home run hire for Illinois. I dont think he will win them a Big10 championship, but I could see them becoming a bowl team each year moving forward (after this year). The Big10 is top heavy (OSU/MSU/Mich), and I think this move can put Illinois in the next wave of teams with Nebraska, Penn State, etc.
