What I know...
Coley was a featured athlete in "Friday Night Tykes" a popular TV show from 2014-17 that chronicled the behind-the-scenes world of youth football. He credits the show for helping him stay focused despite any noise or hype and block out all distractions. He also felt it helped him grow as a prospect.
Since the show, Coley has skipped a grade and he's gotten used to competing against older players which is key and has led to a maturity about him. He enlisted Yale Vannoy, a quarterbacks coach, to help fine-tune certain aspects of his game and he’s still a work in progress.
He had more than 3,000 yards of offense and added 30 touchdowns as well and he’s an excellent team leader. He’s young because he skipped a grade so he should be a 2022 and I think he just turned 17. He has good size and physical skills he just hasn’t played a ton of QB and lacks experience right now which is why he’s a work in progress.
He’s a high ceiling guy whose best years appear to be ahead of him and a big pickup from the San Antonio area for coach Pittman. I’m interested to see what next steps he takes this season.
stay safe everyone.
