As mentioned earlier in a post by my long time friend bdar69 .I lost my daughter a couple days ago ...it was unexpected and still unsure why.
She was awesome ...not because she was my daughter but because she really was awesome ....her character, charm, humor, whit , and heart were grand.....those aren't just my opinions of her but any who knew her ....
She was great in all she touched ...she played multiple sports softball , basketball and even football and excelled in all
She played football for 3 years in rec ball and was the first girl to make the team for beebe Jr high ...and she started on the A team on. Both offence and defensive line....
She was asked to try out for a central arkansas all star team for 13 and under, but fractured her foot 3 days before tryouts
she played in cabot rec program and was known by many and even in courage a few more to play
she has no idea the lives she touched but will be evident in the amount of people expected to be in attendance
now the reality ....listen to your children talk to them ...but listen and maybe even take their advice ...they know, see, and understand more than you think ...Hug them and tell them you love them ....make a special day in the year ...you drop everything and check them out of school to their surprise ...so they know that no matter what you are thinking of them ...
if you are separate household parents ....fight your ass off for more time ...100 days a year is not enough ...don't think you have more time to address issues ...I would give anything to have those 2 extra hours back each week I had to wait after work to get her cause I had to pick her up at 6....
know your kids ...make sure they KNOW THEY ARE LOVED , HEARD
AND NO MATTER WHAT ........
