What a great win. Game both teams, both coaching staff's desperately needed.
I was at the game so not sure what TV broadcast showed or not, but that was as animated as the JeGus has ever been on the sidelines yesterday. When they scored that TD and the 2pt conversion at the beginning of the 3rd OT, he was fist pumping and high fiving as if they had won. He thought they just did. Hell, I kind of thought so too. Felt good to persevere.
Dan Enos and BA. Talk about a tale of two games. First half was IMHO the worst these 2 have combined for together this year. Honestly I lay about 90% of the blame at Enos's feet for not calling run after run in first half. Oline came out ready to blow folks off the ball and Enos called ill timed pass after ill timed pass, and BA just didn't seem to be in the game most of those throws.
But man did both come up big when it mattered! Enos and Brandon both were nails in that OT. Only play call I frowned upon was the pass play on 3rd and 3 that set up BA's 4th and 3 TD. Could not be happier for Allen to have that moment, in front of the home crowd, in such a pivotal game.
Kody Walker, just a big time performance by another kid brought in by a different staff, taken some criticism, but never lost his way, faith. Drew Morgan has become the poster child of such resiliency. D Reed finally got the touches/opportunities everyone has been clamoring for, and responded. Looks like a go to WR.
On defense, Ledbetter is just a stud. Guy stands out week after week. Honestly starting to get scared he might be working his way onto a lot of NFL teams draft boards. I can think of so many JUCO guys in the past/different regime's that didn't pan out. Spaight and now Ledbetter are two terrific signings.
Dre Greenlaw = incredible what he is doing as true freshman. As much as anyone on this team to be credited for us still having a season to cheer for.
Special teams not much to talk about, which is great and hopefully the beginning of a trend.
This is becoming one of my favorite teams ever here. Frustrating as hell, but when you look at who is out there competing, making plays, where they were projected to be at the beginning of the season, the schedule we are playing, and what we are missing due to injury, I am not sure how you can't be proud of the product this staff is putting on the field.
