A buddy and I got into a debatable conversation tonight taking about the nba.
The situation was we each get to draft a team of 10 nba players, and play each other. Obviously there could be no way we could ever prove anything. But kinda just for conversation purposes.
The kicker is...one guy gets draft picks 1-5, and then 16-20. The other guy obviously gets picks 6-15.
Would you rather get your pick at the top 5 in your opinion? Or would you rather get 10 of the top 15 picks, but none in the top 5. I can see an argument for both sides.
I think ultimately I would take the team with picks 6-15, and they would/should be better overall. Just my opinion.
And then we also discussed who your current nba starting 5 would be. Mine as of today would probably be:
Russell Westbrook
James Harden
Lebron James
Kevin Durant
Anthony Davis
BUT if those 5 we gone...a team with 6-15 could look like:
Steph Curry
Klay Thompson
Kwhai Leonard
Giannis Ant
Joel Embiid
Damian Lillard
Ben Simmons
Demar Derozen
Blake Griffin
Karl Towns
These rosters were kinda off the dome. Might have missed a player or two.
Clearly the first team would get 5 more guys, but the overall star power of team 2 might be to much depth to overcome.
The two questions are A) which draft position would you rather have? And B) who would you starting 5 be as of today in the nba If you could pick it?
