Welcome to HawgBeat — the Rivals site covering your Arkansas Razorbacks. As Rivals refreshes its brand, we are going to refresh a few things with how we run the website.
This thread will serve as our rules for The Trough premium message board. There aren’t a lot, and there never have been. Maybe we add some later on, but it’s really not that hard:
Terms of Service: By subscribing, registering or using the sites, members agree that Rivals and or the publisher(s) and board moderators of the sites have the right, in addition to other rights, to delete posts or blacklist members at any time, if they believe that action is in the best interest of the site, for whatever reason, and the reason need not be disclosed.

Our team:
Mason Choate - Owner/Publisher (@ChoateMason): Mason has been with HawgBeat since August 2021. He took over as managing editor in July 2022 and became the owner and publisher in May 2023. Mason has been covering Arkansas Athletics since 2019 and he graduated from the UA with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Riley McFerran - Managing Editor (@RileyMcFerran): Riley joined the HawgBeat staff to report on the transfer portal in December 2022. He took over as managing editor of HawgBeat in August of 2023 and he’s seen his following grow exponentially with his high-level coverage of the transfer portal and the big three athletic programs on campus. Riley has an associate degree in applied science.
Daniel Fair - Football Recruiting (@DanFair88): Daniel has been with HawgBeat since July 2022. After beginning as a staff writer, he took over as the main football recruiting writer, a position he has excelled at. Daniel brings the latest from all of Arkansas’ high school targets, plus he provides analysis on all three sports. Daniel graduated from Wichita State with a degree in journalism, and he also has an associate degree in digital media production.
Jackson Collier - Basketball Analyst/Recruiting (@JacksonCollier): Best known as “JC Hoops,” Jackson joined the website in July 2020. Jackson provides the best Arkansas basketball analysis you can find, and he also keeps subscribers in the know with the latest intel on all Arkansas sports. Jackson graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a double major in English and History. He then attended the William H. Bowen School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate.

- Just don’t post hateful stuff. Anything racist, sexist and political will be deleted. Hate comments directed at players, coaches, families, our staff members and other subscribers will be moderated and deleted.
- Anything posted from another premium message board will be deleted.
- We ask that you don’t take content from our message board and post it somewhere else, but it’s hard to control that. First offense is a warning and the second offense will result in the member being banned.
- Try to keep threads on topic. While message boards are literally meant for discussion, some threads do tend to get way off topic and that makes it harder for those to find the information they’re looking for that we’ve provided.
