from Chad Reuter, a draft analysis who contributes to NFL.com ... only 4 Hogs make his 4-round mock, and there are a couple of surprises ...
* 1st round, pick No. 27, Hunter Henry, TE, to Green Bay ... no surprise here = GB has a need at TE and HH is the best in the land.
* 2nd round, pick No. 42, Alex Collins, RB, to Miami ... surprised after his combine performance that this guy still has AC as the 3rd RB drafted, and taken that high ... if AC shows improved times and performance at his pro day, I think he can solidify 3rd round, not sure about 2nd but would not rule it out, either .... would love to see it ... and Miami -- is Alex going home?
* 3rd round, pick No. 69, Sebastian Tretola, G, to Jacksonville ... Tretola did not have a terrific combine, but he did well at the Senior Bowl, he's one of the best blockers in a "phone booth" which is important for a G, and he has trimmed down ... is the 3rd round too high? Maybe, but it would not surprise me, either.
* 3rd round, pick No. 92, Brandon Allen, QB, to Arizona ... wow, I know BA fared well at both the Senior Bowl and combine, but the measurables have me thinking he'll go in the 5th round ... going in the 3rd would surprise me, but I hope this happens, because nobody deserves good fortune as much as BA does ... if this were to happen, he'd be drafted in the same round as Mallett, and a round better than Tyler Wilson ... just sayin'.
* Reuter also had a list of "Prospects worthy of selections in rounds 1-4" ... Jonathan Williams was one of the names on that list, but no mention of Denver Kirkland. As we know, mock drafts are meant to be mocked ... still, it's fun to have something to talk about as we move toward the real thing in April.
