Recruiting rankings matter but especially if you’re landing top 20 prospects. They make the biggest impact right away and help the power houses reload seamlessly. Since NIL began the amount of top20 prospects attending different schools has gone up. Not only that but a lot of these kids are starting to attend non traditional powers(Mizzou, Tech, USCe, etc.).

NIL 2024- 14 different schools

NIL 2023- 13 different schools

NIL 2022- 15 different schools

NIL 2021- 13 different schools

2020- 11 different schools

2019- 8 different schools

2018- 9 different schools

I think Alabama or Georgia dynasty’s are going to be far and few between going forward. Those schools are still going to recruit well but to sustain and elite level you need elite replacements. When you have 5-10 juniors enter the draft, those 4 stars that take slightly longer to develop aren’t going to allow you to reload. You add the transfer portal, which also cripples your depth, and you get a lot more parody in college football.

I’m not saying Arkansas is winning a title soon but with what I mentioned above and the expanding playoffs, it’s not a dream scenario anymore.
