Running an errand and heard Nutt on the radio. Sad part is it really sounded exactly like what we need. Would not want him back but I think Bret needs to find a hype guy. Someone who can raise the energy/emotional level to a place where the guys can start quick and pump them up late to finish strong. We seem stale in a lot of instances. I agree with him that we can win this week. All his clichés are appropriate for us right now. "Make the ball precious, dont play illegal football and start a series behind the chains, give me 2 turn overs, welcome the 4th qtr because we will win that quarter, finish just as strong as you start"
Don't get me wrong. Saying it doesn't make it happen. It didn't make it happen for Nutt. But I honestly believe they need that spark of belief, spark of energy, spark of fire, and appropriately timed kick in the ass. They have the talent and the scheme (if we stick to it) now we need the energy and belief to match. Sometimes you have to fake it till you make it.
If Enos calls the game as well as last week (needs to run just a touch more) Smith doesn't gamble with the game on the line (free man vs aTm while were up a score in the 4th), cut down penalties, and don't rely on BA in the clutch we should win this game. Any of that goes wrong and it's anybodys game. More than one goes wrong and UT wins. JMO
