Saw this from Jacob Davis (used to have a profile here I think but can’t remember his name) and thought it was interesting:
“Arkansas’ new staff has really done a good job recruiting neighboring state Oklahoma. There is currently six commitments from the Sooner State. How has that compared to recent staffs dating back to 1999?
Pittman 2020-2021: 7 (1 transfer)
Morris 2018-2019: 4
Bielema 2013-2017: 6
Petrino 2008-2012: 14 (5 in 2010 class)
Nutt 1998-2007: 7”
Here is my question. Who was the last stand out player from Oklahoma that we signed and played for us? Kam was decent. Keon was decent as well. I can’t think of a single other Oklahoma kid that came in and made an impact for us (besides Felix, who was 17 years ago)
Off the top of my head I can think of Terrell Williams, Eric Bennett, Jarrett Lake, Cantrell as guys that played for us and were from Oklahoma.
