Had a very interesting lunch experience today. A friend came by the house with some of his grandfathers old WWII papers. He had I guess what would be a fight plan map of Battle of Bitche and Battle of Heilbronn. His GF was in the 100th infantry that was inacted during WWII. Hoarce Higgins was his name and was told he came back and ran Fort Chaffee after the war. It was the military issued maps of where they were going and what they were going to do. His grandfather sent them back to his mom after he was done with them with a notes on them. Really really cool and I am not a WWII enthusiast. He also had pics of his other Grandpa and brother at Iwo Jeema a couple of days after he first arrived. He had pics his grandpas brother took when the first Japanese surrendered after the second bomb I guess. Really cool stuff. The soldiers were all from Yell County.
He had several old pics that was taken over there.
