now I'm showing my age here a bit, but I grew up with Johnny when he was older in his career.
For those younger posters who don't know much or remember Carson, back in the day Johnny was THE man.
And for those who don't remember the younger Johnny, he was a lot like Jimmy is now doing skits, stunts, games, singing, etc.
I beleive Johnny actually had bigger guest for that time (now obviously Jimmy hasn't had the tenure Johnny had yet) and I beleive Johnny did a much better job interviewing his guest. He really asked some hard questions, did his research, and got to know more about his guest that we didn't know
I beleive Jimmy is as talented as there's ever been hosting any late night show, if not more so. His energy is contagious. I never thought anyone could surpass Johnny, but I now believe Jimmy may if he has a long run.
