We weren't super close but still buds. He coached travel ball and we met on the field many times. The last time we coached vs each other was last Oct, late in the month. He was diagnosed shortly after. He was 6'4 and Prob 260 at that point. Saw him last week- he was coaching from a wheel chair with some kind of device to communicate with. He was on oxygen and had Prob lost 130lbs. Couldn't believe the transformation. Big loss in our small softball community and terrible disease. RIP Stan.
