I worked on my wide receivers preview that is now live (click here to read) and it got me thinking about how the receivers fared last time Bobby Petrino was in his first season at Arkansas (2008). Obviously the situation was much different, but it's fun to look at. Joe Adams, Jarius Wright and Greg Childs were all freshman.
Casey Dick was the starter that year and he threw for 2,586 yards and 13 touchdowns with a 57.4 completion percentage.
DJ Williams led the team with 61 catches for 723 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. Michael Smith was the second leading receiver with 32 receptions for 298 receiving yards and two scores (he also ran for 1,119 yards and 8 TDs that year)
Receivers:
Joe Adams: 31 catches, 377 yards, 1 TD
Lucas Miller: 30 catches, 490 yards, 2 TDs
London Crawford: 27 catches, 311 yards, 1 TD
Jarius Wright: 19 catches, 348 yards, 2 TDs
Greg Childs: 18 catches 273 yards, 2 TDs
