My short list:

Home Run Hires

Marion Hobby, Clemson - A top coach and top recruiter. Brings SE recruiting ties. Would love to see our DL 1/2 as effective as Clemson.

Great Hires

Chris Kiffin () - Top recruiter and top coach. Probably the most effective recruiter on the Ole Miss staff. Knows the area. Son of Monte Kiffin and should know the defensive game and how to coach. Hiring him makes us stronger and Ole Miss weaker.

L.D. Scott, Louisville ( - Petrino's ace recruiter. Only makes $150,000 at Louisville. Their DL play was very good, so it appears he can coach. You would think he would be interested if we called.

Terry Price, TAM () - Top Texas A&M recruiter. and is very respected as a coach. TAM is a dumpster fire. Is he looking for security.

Deke Adams, Eastern Carolina ( - Former South Carolina DL coach now at ECU. Very good recruiter. His Defensive line always seemed to play to potential. Former Coach at Ouachita Baptist University in 2005. Also coached at Southern Mississippi. Knows Arkansas and its recruiting territory well.

Mark Hagen, TAM () - Texas A&M's 2nd best recruiter. Dumpster fire. May be interested because - dumpster fire.

Very Good Hires

Dan Brooks, Clemson () - An average recruiter with experience in the SEC and now one of the all-time most impressive defensive line performances I have ever seen. Highly regarded as one, if not the best, defensive line coach in college football. Makes a mint. Probably not interested. Worth a call.

Jeff Phelps, U. Minn - A good coach with average recruiting with the Gophers. Is it fair to judge his recruiting though? This is the same school that once had opposing fans take down Minn goal posts after a game. Sad. Just Sad.

Elijah Robinson, Temple - Another good coach. Learned under legendary Penn State DL Coach Larry Robinson. Average recruiter, but recruits for TEMPLE. Temples line has been very good since his arrival. #24 Rush Defense and #17 scoring defense this past season: http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/28. Tracy Rocker v. 2.0?

Up-and-Coming Hire

Ilaisa Tuiaki, Formerly Coached DL at Utah, now LB at Oregon State - Was one of the most respected up-and-coming DL coach while at Utah State. Moved to Oregon State where he now coaches LBs. Brings recruiting ties from the west - a weak spot. Oregon State facilities suck and always play second fiddle to Oregon. Moving to Arkansas is a definite upgrade. I would love to see a few Samoan nose tackles and he has the hook-up. His recruiting ability is undocumented at this point.
