For the first time in over 20 years,I can honestly say that I'm excited about basketball season. This roster could be the deepest since the glory days of 94 and 95,and we have a coach who can get us on a deep tourney run. I realize that the SEC will be a lot tougher this year, but I harken back to the days of Denny Crum coaching at Louisville. He would always play 4-6 tough non-conference games and didn't care about how many losses he had going into the tournament, because he knew his Cardinals were ready for anything. I think he won 2 NCAA championships.
As far as football,I'm cautiously optimistic, not about our final record, but the improvement in how I think we will play. I drank entirely too much koolade when Bielema was the coach and the horror movie that we endured the last 2 years set us back even more. The best thing about Morris is that he is in our rear view mirror. I wish nothing but ill will for that Gus lover!
