So I'm looking at SEC football stats. Through 2 games Auburn says its defense has hurried opposing QBs 25 times, and Alabama says it has 7 QBHs so far. Would you say that's about right, from what you've seen? Last year, from what I remember, Auburn led the SEC by far in QBHs but I'm wondering if the AU number keepers are liberally padding their hurry stats. It seems like a statistic you could subtly inflate if you wanted to, like tackles, or assists in basketball.
I'm just trying to figure out if I should use QBHs when doing stat reports on SEC teams. If just one team is inflating numbers, that messes it up for everyone and I won't consider comparing those numbers.
