Really? And of course all one sided. WTF is it doing on ESPN. This is a sports forum but it is designed for a free flow exchange of thought. But really I have to listen to that crap on Sports Center. ESPN lost ALL credibility with the Duke scandal. Not surprising. Pathetic plea for exposure.

Dude. Feel any way you want about what they tweet, but don't call it a plea for exposure. If there's anything that monolith doesn't need more of or have to beg for, it's exposure.

No man they ran a segment on Sports Center with tweets of athletes tweets on the subject as a segway for them to get to cover their non sports related political objectives. That is the pathetic grab for their owners views.

ESPN is like any other news organization they want a easy story. Lets say 1 black athlete goes nuts on this issue on twitter thats all they need he will be Sunday conversation next week.

Companies aren't Republican or Democrat, they are made of people that make money and they generally give to both sides (unless they are one of the few like the liberal George Soros who only gives huge sums to Democrats), whichever side is pushing for what they want at the moment and that helps them make money since their stock holders demand they make money. ESPN knows where they make their money and they will sell their souls like any other 'company' to maintain or increase the income versus ticking off the ones that generate that income.

ESPN makes its money from fees from cable companies, primarily, and through sponsorships (The Coors Light Cold Hard Facts, etc.), and ad revenue. I don't think any of that will be the least bit affected by how they do or don't cover athletes tweeting about Trayvon Martin.

And only about 90 percent of Disney's political contributions went to Republican interests in the last election cycle, so you're right about them giving to both sides. (And seriously, it's their money and they can do with it as they wish. I just think we need to pump the brakes the whole liberal media thing, when many media bigwigs, like the ones at Disney, back the right -- at least monetarily.)
