Don't think I have seen this posted, but Brett explained why he did this. He said it was because AA had a very lackadaisical approach, toward the game, at the time. He said AA has now turned into a completely different young man, and that he has 100% confidence in him going in, if he is called upon.
Delete if this has already been posted. Just thought I'd put it out there, as many have given Coach some heat over this. These type of things are why I am very cautious to jump on a guy who gets millions to do a job. There is usually a good reason they make, what we outsiders consider, head scratching decisions. Glad he put it out there, when the time was right.
