Here are some recruiting updates that were posted here recently by Otis, myself, Bob Loblaw, Greg Ladky and rosshawg:
Imoru has committed to Pitt. Bobby Petrino is going to watch him practice today. Based on that, he will either offer him a visit next weekend to come in for an official and thus a scholarship offer or the UA will pass and let him go to Pitt. If BP likes what he sees and deems the kid worthy of an offer this recruiting battle isn't over, just starting. Brandon Denmark will also be in next weekend with Casey Turner, Scott Smith and others.
Eric Humphrey will be visiting Arkansas on January 8th.
Zach Wood, 6-3, 223, Junior DE from Rowlett (Texas) is interested in Arkansas. Former Hog and Pittsburgh Steeler Ernest Ruple (65-68) used to coach his dad. Zach's dad also appears to be pro-Arkansas.
Four Hawaii prospects to visit Arkansas on December 18th, a quartet of prospects from Kapolei High School, including Rivals250 prospect Shaydon Akuna. Teammates Foi Foi, Dustin Elisara, and Tuu Lolohea are also visiting.
Damian Payne to enroll at one of his five schools at midterm and go thru spring practice. He is a CB who is committed to Utah, but has visits to UA next weekend and then Okie State. he has been to Utah, Arizona and Wake Forest. UA also wants him as Punt returner. He averaged over 20 yds per return this season and 2 TDs.
Clint Trickett says he as of now it is a possibility I will take a visit to Arkansas and Florida, in addition to Florida State where he is committed.
Oklahoma State assistant Joe Wickline did an in-home visit with Bearden DE Davidell Collins on Wednesday. And one of the Ole Miss coaches also came by to see Collins and athlete Rickey Brown. Collins is unaware of any other plans from coaches to visit him.
A North Carolina coach recently came and visited with Monticello safety Brishen Mathews, and Ole Miss coaches have come by to see him, according to Mathews. Mathews is still being recruited by several other schools, despite his commitment to the Rebels.
Coffeyville (Kan.) JC TE Brandon Mosley will be here Sunday thru TUesday for his official visit.

This will be the absolute best defensive class in the history of Arkansas football recruiting.
We will get at least 4 4star DL, 2 four star caliber LB, and some immediate help in the secondary.
Look for Ruddell Crim to move to FS at the end of the year, Isaac Madison will be back at corner, to go with Gordon and Winston, as well as some JUCO help.
I will honestly be shocked if we miss on all of the kids we are on. Same thing happened last year, think about all of the Star studded kids we were on Corey Gaines, Coleman, THornton, Mackey, Pierre Paul, and DD Jones. We probably got the best for us out of all of them DD JONES.
Seriously, if you guys aren't excited about this class you need to be,

DB - All I can say is get ready to be shoked with who we get here.
Offensive, we get Casey Turner, and Marcus Lucas to go with some good TE's and OL's, and the best player out of Oklahoma in the past two years. I really think Eric Bennett is taken for granted. Oh yeah most guys on here are comparing Wade to Adams as well. Just think Marquel plays big time football in FL too.
Honestly, did you guys ever think that we could miss on 5 of the top players in AR, and have a top 25 class. The coach's are out busting their butts right now, and I promise it will all pay off.
I think we steal some commits from TN, A commit to another school means absolutely nothing to this staff. I LOVE that. I also think we get into FL and get some more kids.
I see some staff changes for the better at the end of the year, some feelings will be hurt, but Arkansas football will be better off.
Petrino thinks we can win the West next year, and is recruiting that way.
Watch out, we get immediate depth, and Julio Jones little brother, MARCUS LUCAS. Only seems fitting that the next great WR at AR is named LUCAS. Give him number 80.
If Ryan would go ahead and tell everyone he is coming back, that will help with Lucas.
We will most likely sign 25, and some guys on schollie will end up transfering.
Oh yea we get a kicker who actually has attempted FG's in high school as well, not just aw people by kicking threw the uprights on kickoffs while his team was up 50. We get a guy who has already made pressure kicks in high school.
I will also be in Beardon to watch Davidell Collins Friday night. I want to see their sophmore QB as well. Got a feeling that if Davidell was in any other class than this one he would get offered. We just have way to good a shot to not go after some of the guys we are on.
Top 25 class again, NO DOUBT in my mind.
