UT Austin 2006. As signing day is here, decided to share this story about some UT players that a good friend told me a few weeks ago (and just talked about tonight). He is a close relative of one of the players that I won't name. Jamaal Charles, Quan Cosby, Jermichael Finley, Aaron Lewis were the big names with a couple others. When my friend was hanging out with the crew one night on 6th street, one of the guys went to an ATM and used his card and then split the money amongst the crew. The next night, same thing different player. He laughed and said, "that's just how it is man, you think that doesn't happen everywhere?" Not that it's some ground breaking story, but just a reminder of exactly how crazy all this recruiting shizz is. We all like to take pride in our staff, (and I certainly do) but the game isn't a level playing field if there are so many outside benefits. Just how it is.
