The following are key notes from head coach Bret Bielema following Saturday's scrimmage:

  • Arkansas scrimmaged for 101 plays.
  • Bielema said this was the last major scrimmage. He said they had a good work week. They put in some good work on the SEC opponents
  • Ryan Pulley's grandfather is 'in a bad situation,' so he has some things going on at home.
  • Arkansas may redshirt Kendrick Edwards due to the quality depth at wide receiver.
  • Regarding Ricky Town, Bielema called it 'a very unique situation.' He said he got contacted last week about it. Something that has grown since they've been here is they are getting known as being a good pro-style program, which appealed to Town. Bielema said he likes to have five scholarship quarterbacks. He'll be back Monday night. He wanted to stay and have his clothes shipped to his dorm.
  • They adjusted Denver Kirkland's stance a little and it has really helped him in a couple of areas with pass protection.
  • They put coaches in the box for this game. Next Saturday Bielema said they won't hold a practice. They'll do a mock game next Friday afternoon.
