The following are key notes from head coach Bret Bielema following Saturday's scrimmage:
- Arkansas scrimmaged for 101 plays.
- Bielema said this was the last major scrimmage. He said they had a good work week. They put in some good work on the SEC opponents
- Deatrich Wise hurt his shoulder on Tuesday and should be good to go by Tuesday's practice. They just held Alex Collins out and really wanted to see Rawleigh Williams work with the first group. Jared Collins suffered a minor ankle injury in the scrimmage.
- Rohan Gaines had a shoulder injury. Tyler Colquitt probably has a high ankle sprain.
- Ryan Pulley's grandfather is 'in a bad situation,' so he has some things going on at home.
- Arkansas may redshirt Kendrick Edwards due to the quality depth at wide receiver.
- The Z receivers are, in order mentioned by Bielema, Keon Hatcher, Drew Morgan and then Damon Mitchell.
- The X receivers are Jared Cornelius, Cody Hollister and Dominique Reed, though they have certain plays where they will want Reed in the game.
- The F receivers are JoJo Robinson, Luke Rossi and Drew Morgan.
- Regarding Ricky Town, Bielema called it 'a very unique situation.' He said he got contacted last week about it. Something that has grown since they've been here is they are getting known as being a good pro-style program, which appealed to Town. Bielema said he likes to have five scholarship quarterbacks. He'll be back Monday night. He wanted to stay and have his clothes shipped to his dorm.
- Bielema said they're giving Josh Harris and Khalia Hackett 50-50 reps at middle linebacker.
- They adjusted Denver Kirkland's stance a little and it has really helped him in a couple of areas with pass protection.
- They put coaches in the box for this game. Next Saturday Bielema said they won't hold a practice. They'll do a mock game next Friday afternoon.
