I get that basketball has nothing on football, but let's put it in perspective that we are, w/o any dispute, the 2nd best team in the SEC, behind possibly the best team assembled in college basketball history (record-wise it's hard to argue). And, if we were in the SEC Championship game in football, how much more would we be stage-5 freaking out as a fan base right now?
My point is there's a lot to be happy about right now. My coaches always said, if you do what you gotta do to put yourself in a situation to play for a championship, Even when outmatched, on any given day you could be the one left standing and have it all.
Tennessee, Georgia, Bruce Pearl, ESPN and their infatuation with UK even in games they aren't playing, and anyone who brings up our StanHeath/Pel stretch of rough years can sit back today with their mouths shut and watch us play for a conference championship.
