I heard and I'm reading lots of stuff about BA being the worst QB ever. IM NOT GOING TO DEFEND HIM. But we haven't lost the last 2 games because of BA's play. Albeit, he certainly had chances to LEAD us to victory, but he didn't. NONE of us expected him too.
HOW MANY TIMES DID TEX TECH PUNT? That is the question. I'm not upset at a lack of effort, or dropped passes, or ghost holding calls, or no calls. I AM very disappointed in our defensive coaches and the poor weak attempt at getting our 11 players in position to be successful.
If we had 11 NFL all pro defenders lined up in our defensive tonight, Tech would have done the same. We were never EVER in a scheme that made them deviate from exactly what they wanted to do. EVER!
We never changed fronts. We kept 4 down linemen in the entire time. They might as well be sitting down. They aren't disrupting a thing, or tipping passes, or pressuring the QB. I expect our coaches to ADJUST. And we have not. And I'm embarrassed about it.
I think the effort of these players was there. I believe we practiced hard. But what we were told to do was the wrong decision by our D coaches.
That's my belief. The offense isn't perfect yet. We all know that. But they are now out 4 key players, and it's unrealistic to think there wouldn't be some kinks there.
Guys, BA went 16-21 with 3 of his top 4 WR's out. Let that sink in. YES, he is slow to decide. Yes he missed big plays, I don't count the late miss to Sprinkle because I believe that was communication breakdown. Usually the QB is right on those.
I want BA to play better, but he is maybe one of the reasons, but he is NOT THE ONLY REASON That all of us fans are butt hurt.
I expect more out of Robb Smith, and I mean right now!!!
DW- you are right. I drove from San Antonio for the game, and I felt the crowd was amazing! Time and time again we would try to rally the HOGS. Finally, tech just broke the crowd too.
But I was very proud of the Fans!
