How did people ever do without it? I know this thought is probably 15 years late, but I'm constantly amazed by how much one can learn to do thanks to the internet.

It really hit me last summer when we were doing a lot of work to our old house before selling it. I've got no handyman talents whatsoever, but we re-tiled a bathroom, plumbed sinks, changed electrical outlets, textured walls, cut new trim, refurbished a deck -- things I never dreamed I could do, and all because there were online videos to walk me through it. Probably saved me thousands of dollars doing it myself.

Over the last couple of weeks, or ever since recruiting has slowed down, I've been trying different recipes every other day. I've got zero experience in a kitchen, but I've made things here lately that have come out great, at least in my opinion.

Whatever you want to do, there's probably someone on the internet that will show you how to do it. Just amazing.

Makes me wonder what life must've been like for old people back in the day. :)
