Yes, another thread on the QBs.

I have finally formed my opinion of Ricky Town and the QB situation on campus. At first, like some others, I questioned if this was a bad decision by CBB. But after watching alot of film and reviewing all the facts, man was I wrong. Ricky Town will absolutely be the best QB on campus next year. Period. I am as sure as I can be that he will win starting job next year. Like it or not, fair or not, doesn't matter. This is not a game of fairness. It's a game of winning. QB has been a major problem for us the last couple of years (regardless of what some others on here think), and it appeared as if there was nobody too much better behind BA. That problem is solved now.

What happens from here? I expect Rafe and Story to transfer after Town takes the position next year. It sucks for Story, and I like the instate QB just as much as the next guy, but I expect him to leave. Hopefully AA will stick out the remainder of his career here, but he may transfer as well. That makes it as important as ever to sign a good QB in this class, whether it's Kelley or someone else. I am personally not extremely high on Kelley, but let's just hope that he works out. If he decides to go elsewhere, it will be important for the coaches to find a guy that can add some quality depth.

That's all. GHG

Edit to clarify the transfer situation:
  • Rafe gone next year
  • Story gone either next year, or year after TBD
  • AA stays next year, could transfer Senior year TBD
Another Edit: I agree with the scenario some of you have said below. Town could leave after 2 seasons as starter, which would leave the door open for Story to be a 2 year starter. This is definitely a possible scenario. It did happen with Tyler Wilson.
