The sun came up today where I live...

Its a bit cloudy with the sun trying to poke through, which, seems fitting for today.

I know if I'm too positive I get put in a camp of "fools" and if I'm as negative as many others I'll be in that place too, which, doesn't seem like much fun, either.

But I think there's a place there in between. We've done many good things the last two games that a lot of fans have wanted. Vertical passing game and even some nice things on special teams (punt return for a TD was nice, not sure that was a hold at the end), but, if you don't score, it doesn't matter.

Chaney got a lot of flack for what he did and maybe he knew some things from experience that we didn't. He liked to run it a lot - maybe Bret had him do that. We had some vertical threats but now we have more.

Losing J-Will has been worse than many of us imagined. It may have sent a chill down Alex's spine since he probably wants to play in the NFL and help his family and how do you prevent a freak break like what happened to JW?

These suspensions for late to team meetings sort of make me think of Pelphrey. I get their late but do something else to them, maybe. Those kids are good and lets get them in there and playing. We get a bomb to Reed and confidence soars then maybe things break loose.

Last, but not least, these are kids who are playing a high level football game for an entire state so let's not forget a thing I've posted about my entire time since I've been on here and that's perspective. I think Bielema is and has been doing all he can to get the right people here to make this program in to what it can be. He's in year three and I was expecting some issues to still happen. That's what's going on all around us in every part of life. Things are moving forward while other things move back or regress further. The SEC has busted forward in a way that we all think it's a glorious conference and it is. But other teams are leaping ahead, too, and parity is coming to CFB and has enjoyed that being in CBB for a while now with no disruption until the last several months.

We chalk it up to "looking ahead" and maybe that's the case but sometimes all you need is a great gameplan and kids with some skill with heart sprinkled on top to win. Now, these days, if you have some of the other tools it's not so hard. I bet if Auburn played J-State, in, say, some kid of old stadium in Birmingham they would have lost. I sincerely do. But, that doesn't matter.

In closing, I just took Duke out - my dog - and its a really cool Sunday morning. I hope you get to church today and thank God for the simple problems you have and give him the glory for another day you have with your family, friends, and loved ones. While the Hogs really give us fits, they don't amount to what others are going through here and abroad.

Have a great day, for those that read this, and as always, Go Hogs. Yesterday, today, and every Saturday during the Fall.
