Well we now know we are nowhere near as good as we thought we were last week and not nearly as bad as we think we are now. You can look at the first two weeks of play and see that parity is a reality; that wasn’t a lousy cupcake team we played today. Should we have beaten them? Absolutely but we did not bring even our C game. Critical penalties killed drives and took points off the board. Good football teams don’t do that.
The season is long and we still have plenty of time to turn it around; this is team still searching for an identity. Let’s hope they figure it out before next week and let’s hope none of the injuries were serious today. Classic case of a team believing the press clippings and forgetting you have to prove it on the field.
