I get that they probably hate our coach. I might not like him either if I were in their shoes. But these calls they continue to make against us (and NOT against our opponents) are getting to be ridiculous. Just going by the game against Auburn I can think of three calls that were really bad (IMO):
1. Drew Morgan clearly catches a first down catch near the Auburn sideline with 3:55 to go in the 1st Quarter. His left foot clearly comes down in bounds and he catches the ball without bobbling it, and they call the catch incomplete. If his toe was on the line (from my view I did not think it was) then shouldn't they have at lease taken time to review it? Boy they sure reviewed the Auburn qb fumble replay a few times over.
2. Ledbetter's hands to the face penalty. When is the side of the helmet considered the face?
3. The reversal of fumble that would have sealed the game. It was debatable. I will give it that, but to OVERTURN the call on the field? The same crap happened to us in the A&M game.
I know there are more calls than this (Not to mention not a single penalty against Auburn until nearly the fourth quarter).
I could make this list a mile long, but it wouldn't make a difference. The smooth talking good ole boys in Birmingham will never even care about Arkansas. This conference has wrapped its money grubbing arms around A&M, but somehow, even after 24 years it seems like we're still on the outside looking in, and this conference will do anything to keep it that way.
Am I right or am I right? It is bad enough that we have lost four of the best playmakers we have, but every game we have to battle these referees. When you think of what our boys accomplished yesterday, and you figure in the calls, it was a bit of a miracle that they pulled it off.
