Looking back, this season looks eerily similar to Bret Bielema’s 2017 team.
Start the season with a blowout win over a cupcake team. Get dogwalked by a Big 12 team early. Terrible offensive line, bad offense led by Dan Enos. 1-7 in conference play with the only win being by the skin of their teeth.
The only thing missing? Scraping by a G5 team with an awful record. In 2023, could that be FIU? It was Coastal Carolina in 2017, led by Jamey Chadwell who everyone seems to want now.
