Man idk has gotten into our team these last 3 games..but it is some really good basketball. I think we are starting to figure some things out. I mean the last 3 games we look like a really really good team. Moving the ball, shooting well, playing pretty clean and smart, getting scoring from multiple guys. I'll go ahead and give mike props for whatever he Is doing to get these guys to play like this. I'm an optimistic fan and even I didn't think we would be capable to look like this at any point this season honestly. After A&M I was like "yeah about what I thought". Maybe it really pissed them off? Idk but kudos to mike since so many people bash him on this board. And some people will comment and say it's not because of him and these teams we are playing suck. But you don't win by over 30 on the road in the sec unless your playing at a very high level.
Kingsley is literally in beast mode. His improvement from last year to this year is incredible to me. Scoring, rebounding, blocking shots like a madman, hustle, energy, steals, assists. He is literally destroying stat sheet.
Hannah's and bell shoot the 3 as good as anyone we have ever had. And there is two of them! Also love that they are scoring in more ways than the 3 point line. Very impressed with these 2 as well. Both averaging 17 a game and over 45% from 3 enough said.
Durham is literally our glue. Without him we would be in trouble IMO. Floor general. If you would have told me he would be playing like this preseason I would have called you a liar. Assists and steals are coming left and right from this guy. Love it.
Now the difference in tonight's game and what took our team to another level IMO even from the last two games was that beard and Whitt turned it on and showed what type of players they can be...finally! If these 2 continue to play like this, and our other 4 mentioned above continue to play like they have....well watch out, because we could win a lot more games than we were anticipating for this season.
Miles, kouassi, and Thompson need to continue to give us solid minutes, rebound the basketball, and not turn the ball over. They will make a play or two a game.
Will say that Thompson is doing some things I didn't realize he was capable of yet. Want to see him keep coming.
Overall I'm kinda shocked we are playing like this, but hey I'm loving it. These last 3 games have been a blast to watch. I really hope it continues. Way to work team! And way to have them playing well mike! WPS!
