- Joseph Putu will arrive in Fayetteville this evening but won't begin his visit on Friday. Florida is still trying to get him to visit them on Sunday. The dead period begins at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning, so if Putu did decide to visit UF it'd be a very short visit once you include travel time and the fact that Florida is an hour ahead anyway. Putu heard from Ohio State, Florida, UCLA and Cal the last couple of days. He was visited by Arkansas' staff this morning. Crazy time for the JUCO prospect, considering a month ago he was looking at Alcorn State and Bryant University.
- Arkansas' in-home visit with Kristian Fulton is still on for tonight. It's pretty clear at this point, based on everything I've heard anyway, that Arkansas is Kristian's choice. It's a simple matter of whether or not he's willing to go against his parents' wishes of him staying close to home to play for LSU, and that's obviously a tough spot to be in.
- Hearing more positive things on Arkansas' chances of keeping Kiel Pollard on board, but nothing is final until he announces on Sunday. He has not set a time to announce on Sunday.
- Also still hearing positive things on the Hogs' chances with Kyle Porter, who visits this weekend. Kyle doesn't talk, so all we have to go on is what's said through sources.
