On day 1, JUCO transfer Frankline Tonui took 2nd in the 10k which was a very nice surprise to me. In spite of the fact that the SEC is relatively weak in distance events and Tonui is quite talented, I did not expect to see him as a conference runner up at this stage of development. Good on him.
