OT TV purchase question

Sorry to make an OT post during the vital recruiting time, but I think my tv is about to go out and with the Super Bowl coming up, I'll need to purchase a new one.

I haven't checked on tv's in several years because the one that's going out is a 55" Sony Bravia that's at least 6-7 years old.

I saw where Wal Mart has a 58" RCA for only $399. (I paid almost $2000 for that Sony!!!). Do any of you know if that RCA tv is any good...or am I about to get what I paid for if I buy it?
