I have the unbelievable privilege to provide health care to veterans at the Ralph H. Johnson VA in Charleston SC. Ralph was a marine from Charleston who sacrificed himself by jumping on a grenade in Vietnam, saving others. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.
My father in law spent 20 years in the Coast Guard and spent much of his life protecting our coast and serving our great country.
But most importantly to me, my grandfather, from Delight, AR was a punk teenager playing guitar with Glen Campbell and his brothers, when he joined the Navy, boarded the USS Trego and went to Okinawa in World War II. Nobody loved America or the Arkansas Razorbacks more.
My sincere thanks to these three heroes and all service members of the ‘bert!
