Arkansas had practice on Tuesday afternoon to prepare for the LSU Tigers and the media was let in to view four periods of action for around 30 minutes total. The team practiced outside on the two outdoor practice fields as it was cloudy and mid-70s in Fayetteville with a few sprinkles.

Here are a few takeaways and tidbits from what I was able to see:

Tuesday practice takeaways (9/19):

~ Arkansas practiced in full pads on Tuesday afternoon.

~ Running back Rocket Sanders was participating in individual drills for the second day in a row, though he was just in spiders and not in full pads like everyone else.

~ Players not participating at practice were DE Quincy Rhodes Jr., OT Luke Brown, DT Tank Booker and OL Eli Henderson. That list doesn't include those who are out for the year: DB Quincey McAdoo, OL Terry Wells and WR Sam Mbake.

~ Arkansas began with the usual bubble screen drill. The Hogs then transitioned to an 11-on-11 fastball starts period before finishing our allotted time with two individual drill periods.

~ They were pumping in plenty of crowd noise during the fastball starts. They were also pumping in crowd noise during the scout periods as we walked out. It should be a great environment at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge this Saturday.

~ Antonio Grier had an interception during the second team fastball period. The ball was tipped up and Grier came down with it to pick off Jacolby Criswell, though there was probably defensive pass interference on Kee'yon Stewart.

~ I got video of the offensive line for the entirety of the filming period. Sam Pittman came over during that time and was helping coach guys up along with offensive line coach Cody Kennedy. Pittman made sure to stop by and see left guard Brady Latham, who had a rough game against BYU.

~ During fastball, we saw Hudson Clark and Jayden Johnson as the first team safeties, while Al Walcott was with the second team defense.

~ It's also worth noting that Jaylon Braxton and Jaheim Singletary were the first team corners and Dwight McGlothern remained with the second team defense. McGlothern is likely still playing through some turf toe.
