We are a soft football team that no longer knows or has the ability to control the line of scrimmage. Twice we get first and goal from inside the 5yd line and pull out a total of 3 points.... AGAINST TOLEDO.
All respect for Toledo. They were very well coached and played like it. Us, not so much.
How do we continuously play off 8 yds on 3rd and 5 or less? How many throws after the 1st qtr did Toledo throw further than 10 yds? And we're bailing every play until the final 2 series.
The most damning thing I saw today from inside the stadium is that not a single time did a coach or player rally the troops. No fire, no energy, no passion. Just dead... pathetic display both on and off the field.
