Defensive line coach Rory Segrest described UTEP running back Aaron Jones (1,321 rushing yards last season) a guy who can get on the edge and make some guys miss.
When Segrest was with the Philadelphia Eagles as special teams coordinator, they faced current UTEP coach Sean Kugler when he was offensive line coach at Buffalo. Obviously, those two never matched wits, but that's the one known coaching connection.

For Hackett, the biggest problem he said he had at MIKE was trying to get his fits down and wasn't tracking the ball. He was having to think to much, but his role is different at SAM. He will still be at MIKE in the 4-2-5, and even when he was a SAM before he was still the MIKE in the 4-2-5.
D.J. Dean said he will get to face off with former Hog Kelvin Fisher Jr. when he's on punt return team. He talked to Fisher a couple of months ago, he said. He said Fisher told him he's going to be ready for them, and he said that he better be ready.
There were a lot of short answers today from defensive personnel, and it's pretty clear they are ready to hit someone else.
