we just had a 4 star Pro Style QB leave USC and come to us. Usually that makes everyone from star gazers, to rainbow pampers happy. But I keep reading posts about "if I was Ty Storey, id be pissed" or "this tells me our coaches think our QB's suck" or "2 or more must leave" or "Cole Kelley will never come now" give it a rest.
What a wonderful position for our program to be in. TOO much competition at QB! Oh no the sky is falling. I bet if it was a 4 star Mike LB we wouldn't hear anything negative about Dre Greenlaw will transfer, or we lose the Florida LB commit, or we already have 10 LB'ers on scholly, what is CBB thinking?
Sometimes, players fall in your lap. I remember Mike Jenkins transferred from Wisconsin to us when we had a stable of RB's. We still took him, and it worked out.
You never turn down good players, especially at the skill positions. And sometimes, you only need one quality, highly ranked player at a position and you just can't find one. Like a LB, or RB, or WR.
Doesn't mean there is a conspiracy. Or coaches are lying, and not ethical. Or that other players suck! Just the way it goes sometimes. Depth at QB is a wonderful problem to have.
