for some reason I took that to be the staff on defense????
Maybe I dreamed this but I thought at some point after the season he was very happy about his staff being on one page (one mindset) and you could tell it was a pretty big deal to him. I am pretty sure his first year had quite a bit of turmoil on the D side.
It was not a shock when half the D staff left.
Maybe we will, if the D staff stays together, see a much better looking product on the field. Experience coming back with some new blood coming in. Shame we missed on a couple two stars we came very close to getting (LB to Oklahoma and DB to Florida) but the point is.....we have some talent and I expect this staff to show their coaching skills and make us less likely to give up the so many points.
If anyone remembers him saying this....I don't think he was talking about his offense but I expect Lunney, Smith and Enos worked together okay and Anderson and the new RB coach need to fit right in because Enos has his hands full with the QBs while Smith and Lunney are working in some young talent. Kurt Anderson has a rebuilding job with players he has never coached.
The new RB coach will have to feel his way through the reshuffled running backs group. Hummm, reading what I just wrote scares me about the new offense staff getting a good feel for each other before the season starts. I think it really hurt us early last year with Enos trying to figure things out on the run.
