The Cardinals have had some bad luck but they had a choice of three Miami outfielders. They tried to bid on the biggest star and he picked the Yankees so they took their next pick and the Brewers took the leftover guy.
As of today.........
"Without question, the initial impression hasn’t been great. Marcell Ozuna has five hits (only one for extra bases) in his first 21 at-bats and has struck out eight times while drawing one walk. All this has been out of the cleanup spot, which is where the Cardinals seem committed to sticking him until further notice. I do wonder how long that can/should last given what we’ve seen so far. And I’m not talking about batting average. Most concerning is that Ozuna is not hitting the ball with any authority. His hard-hit rate of 15.4 percent ranks in the bottom 7 percent of all National League hitters, and he has registered only one ball in play with an exit velocity over 101 mph.
With so much attention paid to Ozuna’s throwing strength this spring, perhaps the absence of many quality at-bats got a bit of a pass. The Cardinals were insistent that they looked better, his swing stronger and more stable. My eyes didn’t see the same, at least not consistently. No one expects Ozuna to become a Gold Glove Award-winning outfielder again.
No one expects Ozuna to become a Gold Glove Award-winning outfielder again. Opponents have exploited his weaknesses already and that will likely continue."

Meanwhile the Brewers outfielder has led them to great things..
"The 2018 National League MVP (Yelich) has been driving the bus for the Brewers -- to borrow one of manager Craig Counsell’s favorite phrases -- once again. Yelich saw his home run streak come to an end, but even after a relatively pedestrian 1-for-5 night he leads the National League with six extra-base hits to go with a 1.800 OPS."

I brought this up as a comparison to how we have to trust that our front office (The AD) will make the best hire for the new BB coach. I think we have made three shaky hires in a row and we will stay a minor player if HY makes another poor hire. I am not sure what BUZZ might do at A&M but we probably could of had him for the last 8 years.
You just have to get lucky sometimes but it makes you nervous when it is totally out of your control...and you sit and wait for the big decision.
