Talking about football, basketball, baseball and track.
Give one of these 4 answers:
1. Championship Ready
2. On The Verge
3. Treading Water
4. Getting Lapped
Football: On The Verge
With a few more pieces, they could be Championship Ready.
Basketball: Treading Water
I think they were On The Verge this past season...but not holding onto Portis or Qualls puts them in the Treading Water category. With a good recruiting year, they could easily rise back to On The Verge.
Baseball: On The Verge / Championship Ready
I want to say they are Championship Ready after making it to the CWS...but they seem to still need another starting pitcher or two to get up there with Vandy.
Track: Championship Ready / On The Verge
Again...would like to put them in the Championship Ready category alone...but they still need another piece or two...and part of that piece is on the coach's shoulders. I'm hopeful he can figure out how to get all of this guys to peak at the right time (and the right time is not the SEC Championships). They could have a good season (like 2014 Indoors) and win a NC, which is why I put them mostly in the CR category.
Overall...I think we're in a pretty good place right now with these 4 sports. I feel we have the right coach for each.
