Bashed Brandon Allen........the Arkansas senior QB has been through several head coaches, offensive coordinators, position coaches and wide receivers. He has been injured and some fans openly wondered if he would ever be tough enough or even smart enough to be classified as a winner in his career. With all that.....how could he end up as valuable as any player in the SEC in 2015?

Ever since the Razorbacks joined the SEC, we have been hurt by senior QBs who we had hardly ever heard of.
So can Allen do this for the Hogs, use his talent and experience to be the difference in the nearly always tight SEC games?

Football does not change much so here is what you should look for. Each play there should/could be a big mental game between the great SEC defensive coaches (and their free safety.) and Allen. He has to learn to READ the blitz from LBers and DBs. He has to know the tendencies and ability of the 'enemy'....but most important of all, he must make a split second decision on what the safety is about to do (as the safety is trying his best to read ALLEN'S mind).

A few seconds can mean a play works or not so his experience should buy him those key seconds. For example he will scan the field and if he sees a slow LB waiting to cover Hunter Henry, then that is a easy play to complete. However he may see a receiver like Reed out on an island with a short CB and know that looks like a quick six. As he is looking at all this he should also be able to decide if he thinks that safety is floating out to help out on a Reed and the best linebacker is all in on stopping Henry.......then Williams or Collins running room just opened up for a easier run or pass out of the backfield.

Anyway, I may have put this poorly but you get the point in that Allen has a chance to win every game we play buy just letting the game come to him and use his experience (which came at a big price personally) to get the ball to the right play maker at the right time and depend on our offensive line to make it all work.

P.S. The more TDs we can get the less we are forced to depend on the kicking game or defense even if they are both very dependable. Very excited to see what Enos and Allen can get done
