I have been a hog fan for over five decades. Thus I have seen the ups and downs - peaks and valleys. I never bought into the preseason hype. Last year we caught LSU when they were down, Ole Miss when they were confused, and beat a Texas team that was almost non existent. I predicted 6 wins this year after looking at our murderer's row road schedule
The state of high school football in our state is atrocious. In my younger days, central Arkansas contribute to the nucleus of the great teams. Now. we are lucky if we get two or three SEC caliber players from that parcel. We have to fight for talent in other states where the home schools don't just lay down.
Fayetteville sits in a beautiful area of our state but has nothing to cite as a natural draw for out of state athletes. CBB has his faults just like any other human but I believe in his philosophy.
We will return 7 starters on offense and 9 on defense from our current roster. The players that have the potential to be game changers are too numerous to mention. We will have a hotly contested QB battle next spring. Keep the faith. There are better times ahead.
