New Arkansas Razorbacks football offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino is known for his quarterback development, and he may have his eyes set on his next protege.

North Texas quarterback Chandler Rogers confirmed to HawgBeat that Petrino will be doing an in-home visit Wednesday night.

A junior for the Mean Green, Rogers completed 62.2% of his passes this season for 3,383 yards, 29 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He added another 180 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

The 6-foot, 195-pound transfer finished the 2023 season with an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 90.4, including a pass grade of 90.5.

Prior to his time at North Texas, Rogers played for Louisana-Monroef rom 2021-22 and Southern Miss in 2019. At ULM, he completed 67.7% of his passes for 2,403 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He ran for 353 yards and five touchdowns.

For his career, Rogers has completed 478-740 passes (64.6%) for 5,785 yards, 44 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions. He's added another 539 yards and nine touchdowns on 256 carries.

With reports earlier this week that starting quarterback KJ Jefferson intends on entering the transfer portal, the Hogs will need to get a bonafide starter to replace him.

Rogers isn't the only Mean Green transfer to be getting a visit. North Texas starting center Ethan Miner is also expecting an in-home visit from Arkansas offensive line coach Eric Mateos Wednesday night.
