Some of the people involved "in this fiasco" are the life's blood of the program and until the rest of us can be counted on for millions in annual donations they aren't going anywhere.

Long was arguably the most admired AD in the country. He went toe-to-toe with these folks and found himself on the outside looking in. Till the time comes we can pay coaches and do stadium expansions with atta-boys and admiration, the big time donors are going nowhere.

They had a list of candidates, albeit with some dissension as to who was 2nd and who was 3rd. Whichever one of those guys they chose will definitely accept the job. The search will have lasted 8-10 days at the most, and we will end up with a much better coach than the one we just fired (even if it's Morris).

Florida ended up with a good coach, but he was no better than their 3rd choice.

A&M got a good coach...well done Aggies.

Ole Miss promoted their interim.

Tennessee just got turned down by General Neyland's skeletal remains.

Miss State hired a coordinator who has never coached in the south.

Meanwhile we are going to hire a highly-regarded up and comer with ties to our primary recruiting area no matter which one of our next two candidates we end up choosing.
