-Bielema said they spent a little extra time with the younger players after practice today, and in some days they'll do that or they'll go back and review things with the older players.

-Overall, ball security was pretty clean, though they had some center exchange issues with some younger players.

-Dylan Hays, as reported earlier, has moved to defensive line. They love the tenacity and energy he plays with and he felt they were a little thin on the defensive line at nose. This also allows Jonathan Marshall to move over to DE.

-Josh Paul was removed from the 105 but will focus on academics. They want him to focus harder in the classroom for now. Alexy Jean-Baptiste may be able to get on the field in limited form. Tyrell Collins took his spot on the 105.

-Dre Greenlaw and Jared Cornelius were limited today in team. Dre jumped in there in the end just because he was tired of not being in there.

-Bielema called Gary Cross very explosive and said it was fun to watch him. Cross did a 1-step jump over a 60-inch hurdle in the off-season.

-They'll stick to this schedule the first nine days. Ninty percent of the team are in summer classes now.

-They went back and looked at the entire collection of spring drills and T.J. Smith was the highest performing player competing for that other end spot. Bielema said McTelvin Agim and Bijhon Jackson have pretty earned starting spots.

-Bijhon Jackson, Santos Ramirez, Josh Liddell and Armon Watts have class until 4 p.m., so they get out there a little late.

-They had to get legal clearance to add the padding on the helmets (anytime you alter a helmet the warrantee could be voided), and Bielema gave them the option to opt out of it. He saw Clemson with them last year.

-Jarod Barnes, who also did the 60-inch jump, was the first receiver Bielema mentioned when asked about the young reciever> De'Vion Warren is one of the team's five fastest players. Koilan Jackson has a lot of physical tools. Bielema said some of the older receivers need to wake up and smell the coffee or these younger guys will go right past them.

-Saturday they'll be in half pack, won't scrimmage but will have a significantly harder practice. August 12th, they'll have a good scrimmage and then also the 17th.

-Moving Jalen Merrick to guard was just an effort to get the next best players in position to get more reps. Merrick could be the team's third guard if he doesn't beat Johnny Gibson out. Bielema said the starting five that was out there today - the same group that ended the spring - is in pretty good shape. He is really pleased with what he called a life changing move for him to the offensive line. He said Brian Wallace has made the biggest jump in the off-season.

-He said Ty Storey is throwing with a lot of confidence. He changed his throwing motion by the recommendation of someone else and they've been trying to work that out of him.

-Cheyenne O'Grady did some good things today and didn't stand out for the wrong reasons, which is a step in the right direction. He also said "Jeremy Patton can play the game." He added "he is into football." He had two 'As' today on his grade reports. He didn't clear the 60-inch jump but was the only guy over 250 pounds who cleared the next-highest level.

-Bielema said he has daily conversations with Montaric Brown. Brown's class finishes up next Friday, all the qualifying test scores are in and it's just about this class. They are hoping for August 10th to get him in and the worst would be the start of classes.

-Bielema said he believes the reason they can only have 105 instead of 120 is finances from back in the day. He thinks it's a way to level the playing field.
