Wes Swift and Jonesboro High will be playing in the 4th straight state championship game this Friday. That's a pretty impressive streak. JHS lost in 2OT to Parkview in 2012, lost on a 3 pt prayer shot to Hall in 2013, and beat Parkview last year. Swift is proving that he's one of the best coaches in the state. He is the best IMO.
JHS senior Marquise Pointer leads Jboro and signed with College of Charleston. Like Jboro's Kahron Ross last year, I feel like Pointer has been a little overlooked by college coaches. Ross had a great season and was named Patriot League Newcomer of the Year for Lehigh.
