HawgBeat's recruiting rewind series features a look back at all of the Arkansas football recruiting classes dating back to 2002, which is as far back as the Rivals rankings go.

The series goes in order of class ranking, which spans from 61st nationally to 16th nationally.

In the sixth edition of this series, we will analyze the 2007 recruiting class. Coming off a highly successful 10-win 2006 season, one would expect the Razorbacks to land a highly-touted recruiting class.

In what ended up being his final season as head coach, Houston Nutt signed the lowest-ranked recruiting class of his tenure, coming in at 31st nationally. While low considering the recent success of the program, the fact that this was Nutt's worst class of the Rivals era is a testament to how well he recruited with the Hogs.

Unlike the current era of college football, the transfer portal was not nearly as prevalent in 2007. Out of 27 committments, only six players transferred out. That number includes Michael Harris and Juwan Franklin, who didn't qualify academically and never made it to Arkansas' campus, ultimately deciding to take their talents to Arkansas Baptist instead.

Many fans will remember the 2007 college football season as one of the wildest in its history. Arkansas played a huge role in the chaos, upsetting the No. 1 ranked LSU Tigers in triple overtime. A handful of players - including DJ Williams, Walner Leandre and Freddy Burton - all saw playing time during the game.

Below is a look at all 27 commits from the 2007 class, the MVP of the class, who transferred out and where each ended up.

Commitments - 27
