We can’t have an opinion on men’s sports and women’s sports? Nobody was out of hand. Which one of you mods keep shutting them down?

What’s even worse is you can’t even talk about it anymoreWomens basketball is being shoved down our throats. Eventually, you will have to watch a womens game in order to watch a mens game. This is why I’m pro trans in sports. So when they make us watch a womens game at least there will be dunking by the trans women.

Love ya Hutch, but this is a Nikki-level bad takeThe threads are being locked (it wasn't me, but I'm okay with it) because they're going to immediately turn political, which is literally one of two things we don't allow on the board. We have incredibly lax rules (how many places let y'all get away with the language we have on here?), but we don't need politics and we don't need religion. This isn't about us silencing you or something ridiculous like that. You are welcome to talk about that all you want...just not here.
The great thing about sports is that it doesn't have to be split along political lines. Everyone can be an Arkansas fan, whether you're conservative/liberal, Christian/Muslim/agnostic/etc., black/white/etc., gay/straight, whatever.
Plus, in the grand scheme of things, no one cares about high school dunk contests. I mean, did y'all see how many people were in the crowd last night? I'm sure the ratings will be minuscule, too. I'd bet 99% of y'all wouldn't have been watching had Black not been announcing his decision and had Nick Smith/Jordan Walsh not been participating. And that's not political. It's just a fact that things like that - dunk contests, HR derby, skills challenge, etc. - aren't as popular as they used to be. There's a million different things for people to do these days.
So, IMO, there's really no need to get worked up over something like that. It's just going to turn into a political debate and - I hate to break it to y'all - you're not changing anyone's mind with a post on a message board/Facebook/Twitter.
Someone’s hypersensitive button was definitely pushed, but it wasn’t mine or whoever locked the thread. Lol.Politics have entered sports at a ridiculous level. The dunk threads were highlighting that. The fact that we can’t discuss it is revealing. They could have gone to the Grim Bottom but no, they were locked due to someone’s hypersensitive button getting pushed.

That’s the only problem I see. 40 people talking about a subject, but 1 hurt feeling shuts it downSomeone’s hypersensitive button was definitely pushed, but it wasn’t mine or whoever locked the thread. Lol.
If it makes you feel better, I will unlock them and relocate them. But the rules are the rules.
That’s not how it works now. The feelings of 1 outweighs the needs of thousands. It’s all about how you feelif you know your going to get your feeling hurt then don’t open the thread.
Should women be allowed to vote yes or no!Again, this has nothing to do with hurt feelings. It’s literally one of the only rules we have on here.
There was a time Nikki relaxed the rules and allowed polical discussion and it was a disaster. We just don’t need that on the board. And I can assure you that y’all will never know my political opinions because 1- I’m a sportswriter, who gives a shit about my political opinions and 2- it’s not going to change anyone’s mind. It would just upset the portion of the fanbase that disagrees with whatever it was that I said.

You just admitted that you made a predetermination of the "rules" being broke, in that nothing was actually stated broke the rules. Just that it would lead to a rule being broke. Slippery slope there, Hutch.Someone’s hypersensitive button was definitely pushed, but it wasn’t mine or whoever locked the thread. Lol.

Sure it does. That button wasn’t pushed for any other reasonAgain, this has nothing to do with hurt feelings. It’s literally one of the only rules we have on here.

Nothing wrong with it, no. It's when 50 people enter the thread and it's constant bickering that the problem arises. And it would happen, it always happens.Hutch
Some of My go to threads on TMB are political and the Ukrainian war. If this board is only about pumping feel-good sunshine then Hawg beat needs to look at the people in this State. The majority is Conservative including me. There's nothing wrong with having a conversation about men /trans in women's sport or women and men's sports. WPS
I, for one, staunchly support women's suffering.Should women be allowed to vote yes or no!

Letting a woman in a men's dunk contest is strange though.
If you want conservative political discourse, you already hit it on the head. TMB is exactly what you are looking for. I will move this thread to the Grim Bottom and y'all can discuss whatever the f+ck you want to.Hutch

Ketanji Brown-Jackson defended being soft on kiddie porn junkies in her confirmation hearing. Thots? If you want conservative political discourse, you already hit it on the head. I had to take a minute to know for sure if the first girl was even a girl. I thought it was a guy that just couldn’t jump.Nothing wrong with it, no. It's when 50 people enter the thread and it's constant bickering that the problem arises. And it would happen, it always happens.
